Edward (Ed) holds a First Class BA from Durham University and a Master of Studies from Oxford University (both in History). After doing the law conversion and legal practice course at BPP, Ed qualified as a solicitor in 2011 in the tax department of Slaughter and May. He was a tax adviser in private practice for close to 13 years, at Slaughter and May, EY and Baker McKenzie. During this time, Ed advised on a wide range of tax matters, including the tax implications and structuring for complex cross-border M&A deals for large multinationals, as well as advising on global reorganisations and restructurings. Ed joined Ryan Transactional Risk in September 2024.
