Mike graduated from University College London with a 2:1 LLB in Law with Advanced Studies, and completed his legal training at BPP Law School in Holborn. He trained at CMS Cameron McKenna LLP (as it was then known) and qualified there in England & Wales in 2010, before continuing his career at Hogan Lovells International LLP and thereafter Pinsent Masons LLP. During his decade in private practice, Mike became a senior finance lawyer who advised clients seeking to raise or provide finance relating to the development, refinancing and acquisition of UK and international infrastructure, renewable energy and real estate assets, both on a single asset and portfolio basis.

Since joining Ryan Transactional Risk, Mike underwrites complex, high value and cross border transactions across all industry sectors, with a particular focus on TMT, financial services, consumer products, renewables and utilities. Mike currently leads our team of London Market underwriters that focus on operational risks and is a member of the senior W&I leadership team at our London office. Mike joined Ryan Transactional Risk in June 2020.
